Sounds like you hurt some feelings. The way I see it,if they didnt want to read it they always could not look @ it. I am proud of Appalachia.Most of them are upset over the humiliation over the years they got embarrassed in football, now they will bring up the bad years they beat Appy. Like maybe 1 time in 10 years or so. It kills people when Appalachia does good . Pour it on them.If they dont like it, they can lump it. By the way I would like to also know his/her question. Yes, Biggin should really be embarassed by going to PV and never losing to Appy. This crap does get old when every 13 year old to play JV wants a conversation started so hopefully someone will mention their name. btw...Timmy saying JV doesn't matter is absolutely correct. [censored] it means absolutley nothing, so how is it an accomplishment?

HEY! we have a good jv team, but our varsity always blows. hmm............

so what does JV mean? you either arent varsity-material, or you are just completing A VARSITY TRAINING EXERCISE.

so yeah, its not an accomplishment to have a bad-[censored] jv team.

JV Girls from Wednesday night

Gate City over Coeburn by a bunch.
Leading scorers for GC were Brittney Simpson and Alyssa Clark. Clark sparked an early GC run by scoring 7 points in less than a minute in the first quarter.

Thursday

Gate City 30
JJ Kelly 19

Leading scorers for Gate City were Holly Musick and Brittney Simpson. A close game until the 4th quarter.

Gate City is undefeated in district play. Only two loses were to Sullivan South.

JV teams are the feeders for the varsity and its where kids should be learning the system and getting prepared for varsity, so in that sense, they do mean something. Or at least they should mean something. Everyone has good points though - JV is something to have pride in, but not something to be bragging about.
